SG Name Card VS One Good Card

One Good Card compared us. Here is the rest of the story.

One Good Card published a comparison putting us in the right-hand column. It invents a monthly fee we do not charge, marks shipped features as missing, and has no row for security. Corrected table below — including where they genuinely beat us.

Row by row: what their table claimed

An empty cell in a competitor's table means the feature is missing, named differently, or nobody checked. Here is which is which.

Cost over time

Four years, one user, both products

Strip out the fee we do not charge and the pricing argument collapses to S$5.10, once.

Cumulative cost per individual user, in S$. No recurring charges on either side.

One price, charged once

SG Name Card is S$18 SGD. One payment, every feature — sharing, dynamic QR, corporate branding, live updates, analytics.

No setup fee stacked on top, no monthly maintenance, no charge to edit your details later. The S$18 is the whole number.

For 100+ cards we quote bulk. SMEs under ten cards may qualify for subsidised rates under SME and IMDA initiatives.

Security & compliance

The row their table left out entirely

A digital card is a public profile backed by a private contact database. Their comparison has no row for encryption, certification or PDPA. For any Singapore company buying at team scale, that is the row that gates procurement.

ISO

ISO 27001 certified

Independently certified, not self-assessed. Audited controls over access, change management, incident response and supplier risk.

VAPT

VAPT tested

External Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing. Findings remediated and retested; report available to enterprise buyers under NDA.

PDPA

PDPA compliant

A Singapore entity under the Personal Data Protection Act, with a designated Data Protection Officer. Consent, access, correction and retention handled under Singapore law — not a foreign policy adapted after the fact.

A named Data Protection OfficerPDPA requires one. Ours is published, so a data subject request lands somewhere other than a generic support inbox.
Secure cloud platform, encrypted in transitEvery profile view and QR resolution is served over TLS, hosted on Singapore servers. We hold your card — not a database of the people who scanned it.
We do not store your clients’ recordsUnder Singapore’s PDPA, every record a vendor holds is a liability someone must account for. We deliberately do not keep your clients’ personal data — so there is no contact graph of yours to lose, leak or monetise. Any card platform bundling a CRM should be asked directly what it does with the data flowing through it.
Singapore jurisdiction, Singapore recourseRegistered at 2 Venture Drive, Vision Exchange, Singapore. If something goes wrong with employee data, your legal remedy sits in the same jurisdiction as your company.
Enterprise due diligence, answered properlySecurity questionnaires, DPIA input, VAPT summary, ISO scope statement — answered as a matter of course for 100+ card deployments at BDO Singapore, Lend Lease and ESR.

If One Good Card holds equivalent certifications, add the rows. A comparison that omits security is not neutral — it favours whichever vendor has less to show.

Why teams choose us

Three things we do not compromise on

Not a feature list. These are the reasons Singapore companies hand us two hundred employees’ contact details.

SG

Your data stays on Singapore servers

Profiles and captured contacts are hosted in Singapore — not replicated to a region you did not choose. Combined with ISO 27001 certification, VAPT testing and PDPA compliance under a named DPO, that is a security answer your procurement team can actually file.

✓

Professionalism as the default

Every card looks like it came from your company, because we design it that way. Enterprise rollouts are handled by people who have done them before — BDO Singapore, Lend Lease, ESR — not a self-serve wizard and a help article.

⚡

We reply instantly

WhatsApp +65 8457 9833, answered by a person in Singapore hours. No ticket queue, no overseas escalation path, no waiting a day to find out whether your cards will be ready. When two hundred cards stop resolving on a Monday morning, this is the only feature that matters.

The arguments

Four claims, answered

Where they are right, we say so.

Their claim: "More than a digital business card" — cards plus CRM plus contact management in one platform.

Correct, and that is the actual choice on the table

They build a platform. We build one thing. We do not store your clients’ records at all — that is a PDPA position, not a missing feature. Every copy of personal data a vendor keeps is a copy someone must account for when it leaks.

Also another place for it to leak. Every system holding prospects' personal data widens the surface you answer for under PDPA. We capture contacts and hand them to the system you already secured.

Pick them if: you have no CRM and want one bundled, and you are comfortable with your prospects’ personal data living in your card vendor’s database. Legitimate choice — just make it knowingly.

Their claim: "One-time lifetime pricing" versus monthly subscriptions — with S$18 setup plus S$1.50 a month attributed to us.

We are also one-time, and our entry tier is free

The correction that matters most. SG Name Card is S$18, charged once, edits free afterwards. Not S$18 plus anything — the monthly figure they compare against does not exist.

Real gap between the two paid products: S$5.10, once, in their favour. Not the compounding subscription their page describes.

Where they lead: their paid one-time tier is S$5.10 cheaper than our paid one-time tier. Accurate, and small.

Their claim: "More control, less restriction" — with SG Name Card marked "fixed layouts" and "template-based".

We are not fixed, and we are not template-based

SG Name Card offers multiple layouts, each customisable. Colours, fonts, logos, profile photos and branding elements are yours to set. Calling that "fixed layouts" is simply inaccurate.

The S$65 corporate template is an optional service — a designer building your company look once, for everyone — not the only route to a branded card. Self-serve customisation is already in the product.

What we do not do is hand 200 employees unlimited widget control and call it a feature. Every layout we ship is tested: legible on an old Android in bright sun, loads on hotel wi-fi, recognisably the same company card as the one beside it.

Where they lead: their widget system goes further than ours for a one-off personal profile. If the card is a portfolio piece, that freedom is worth something.

Their claim: "Singapore-based, globally trusted" — with a blank cell against our APAC support.

We are both Singapore companies. Only one of us published the certifications.

Singapore Digital NameCard Pte Ltd operates from Vision Exchange, Singapore. WhatsApp support in Singapore hours, 1,000+ Singapore businesses, card views in 40+ countries. A blank cell implies otherwise to every reader who does not check.

Being Singapore-based is the smaller half anyway. The larger half is ISO 27001, VAPT testing and PDPA compliance under a named DPO — what enterprise buyers actually ask for, and the row their comparison does not contain.

Where they lead: NFC hardware. We do not sell physical cards at all — if tap-to-share hardware is what you want, they have it and we do not.

Decide

Which one you should actually buy

No table ever changed a decision; a clear criterion does. Find yourself below.

Choose SG Name Card

  • You want to pay S$18 once and be finished — no renewal, no maintenance fee.
  • Security review is part of the purchase — ISO 27001, VAPT, PDPA with a named DPO.
  • Employee contact data must stay under Singapore jurisdiction and Singapore recourse.
  • You want customisable cards that still look like one company across a team.
  • You want a vendor that does not store your clients’ records at all.
  • You are an SME that may qualify for SME/IMDA subsidised rates.

Choose One Good Card

  • You want CRM, invoicing and lead scoring bundled — and accept your contacts being stored there.
  • You want widget-level layout control on a one-off personal profile.
  • You want NFC hardware — physical tap-to-share cards.
  • You want an OCR scanner for the paper cards you still receive.
  • Their paid tier's S$5.10 saving decides it for you.

Their FAQ, answered

The questions they wrote about us

One Good Card's comparison page carries an FAQ with answers about SG Name Card written entirely by One Good Card. Here are the same questions, answered by the company they are about.

How does One Good Card compare with SG Name Card on pricing?

Their answer: "SGNameCard charges S$18 to set up a digital name card plus a recurring S$1.50 monthly maintenance fee… One Good Card offers a free digital business card and an individual lifetime upgrade from S$12.90… with no recurring individual subscription required."

The recurring S$1.50 monthly maintenance fee does not exist. It is not on our pricing page, not on an invoice, and not on any plan we have ever sold. We would ask them to remove it.

Accurately: SG Name Card is S$18 one-time, with free edits for as long as you hold the card. Theirs is free, or S$12.90 one-time. Both are one-time products — the gap between the paid tiers is S$5.10, once, not a recurring charge.

The S$65 corporate template is real and listed openly: a designer building your company look, with revisions. Optional, one-time, and irrelevant to an individual card — self-serve customisation is already in the product.

Can I switch from SG Name Card to One Good Card?

Their answer: "Yes… Switching may appeal to users looking for lower recurring costs, greater profile layout flexibility, NFC hardware, mobile wallet sharing, built-in CRM, OCR scanning, integrations or additional sales workflow tools."

Yes, and nothing in our product holds you hostage. Two of the reasons they list are real. Two are not.

"Lower recurring costs" — we have no recurring costs to lower; S$18 is charged once. "Profile layout flexibility" — multiple customisable layouts, colours, fonts and logos are already yours. Switching for those two means switching to get what you already have.

"NFC hardware" is a real reason — we do not sell physical cards. So are built-in CRM, OCR scanning, invoicing and sales workflow tooling. We do not build those, and the CRM one is a deliberate PDPA position rather than a gap: we do not store your clients’ records. Real decision either way, and we would not argue you out of it.

Before moving, price what their list omits: can the new vendor show you ISO 27001, VAPT testing and PDPA compliance under a named DPO? For one personal card, maybe it does not matter. For 200 employees' contact data, it is the whole question.

What exactly does the S$18 cover?

Everything. Local and international sharing, dynamic QR, multi-channel sharing by link, email, WhatsApp and SMS, corporate branding, profile media, analytics and real-time updates to your details.

Charged once. No renewal, no maintenance fee, no charge to change your card details later. The only separate line item we publish is the optional S$65 corporate template, which is a designer building your company look.

Is SG Name Card a Singapore company?

Yes. Singapore Digital NameCard Pte Ltd, 2 Venture Drive, #19-18 Vision Exchange, Singapore 608526. WhatsApp support on +65 8457 9833 in Singapore hours. 1,000+ Singapore businesses — BDO Singapore, Lend Lease, ESR, Mirxes, Children's Cancer Foundation, Centre For Seniors — with card views in 40+ countries.

Their comparison table leaves the "Singapore & APAC support" cell blank against our name. That is the correction we would most like them to make.

What happens to my data, and who is accountable for it?

ISO 27001 certified, VAPT tested externally with findings remediated and retested. We operate under Singapore's PDPA with a designated Data Protection Officer — so consent, access, correction and retention requests have a named owner and a legal route.

We do not store your clients’ records. Under Singapore’s PDPA that is the cleanest position available — data a vendor never holds cannot be lost, leaked or sold, and it keeps your disclosure obligations where they belong. Your card and its content sit on Singapore servers. ISO scope statement and VAPT summary available to enterprise buyers under NDA.

What does One Good Card do better?

Several things, and better you hear them from us than find out after buying. They sell NFC hardware and we do not — if you want a physical tap-to-share card, that is a genuine reason to choose them. Built-in CRM, lead management, invoicing, email verification and OCR scanning are all theirs and not ours; the CRM is a deliberate PDPA decision on our side, the rest we simply do not build. Their widget system also goes further than ours on a one-off personal profile.

If any of those decides it, buy theirs. We only ask that you decide on accurate numbers — the entire reason this page exists.

One card. One payment. Done.
